Professor Hongdao Qian is President of the China Rule of Law Research Institute and professor and Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee in Guanghua Law School at Zhejiang University. Professor Qian also currently serves as the Vice Chairman of China Society Comparative Law and Executive Subeditor of China Academic Yearbook. In 2007, Professor Qian was awarded the honor of “Outstanding Talent of the New Century” by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Prior to his current position, Professor Qian was a researcher and professor of Institute of Law at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a lecturer at the Economics School at Peking University, and a prosecutor in the People’s Procuratorate of Zhejiang Province.

Professor Qian is currently publishing the first rule of law index in China. His other recent publications include The Choice of Governance, The Lecture of Anglo-American Law, Contemporary Western Ideological Trend and School, and Economic Analysis of Law.
